What is the FAQ-bot?

An interactive AI-powered interface that lets your website's visitors ask questions, and receive answers based on the FAQ section of your website.

How do I integrate the FAQ-bot into my website?

Once you sign up to use the FAQ-bot on your website, you get access to a short code snippet with a product key inside. You only need to copy this snippet on the top of your website's HTML code. After this, the FAQ-bot scans your website and starts automatically answering user questions.

Is the FAQ-bot a chatbot?

The FAQ-bot is similar to a chatbot, but at the same time it avoids many problems of regular chatbots. We call it the 'dialogbar', as it combines the benefits of a chatbot and a searchbar. It doesn't require expensive setup and maintenance because it only uses the data that is already available on your website. Instead of 'faking' a conversation, the FAQ-bot will answer to questions based on your FAQ in a straightforward way.

Which languages does the FAQ-bot support?

Does the FAQ-bot use AI?

Yes, it does. The FAQ-bot relies on the latest state-of-the-art natural language processing to understand the contents of your FAQ, and the questions about it, so it can find the right answer for your users.

Can I add my own questions?

Yes, you can extend the FAQ-bot's knowledge manually, by using the feature 'custom dialogs' on the dashboard. Here you can specify answer-question pairs. After this the FAQ-bot will deliver these answers to questions you specified, even if they are phrased differently.

Do you offer analytics?

Yes. On your dashboard you can get insight about the questions your visitors ask, and what answers they are given by the FAQ-bot. You can use this information to improve your FAQ, and to understand what your users are really looking for.

How does it work?

Once you signed up, and copied the snippet on the top of your website, the FAQ-bot scans your website regularly, so that it knows what to answer to user questions. When a user asks a question, the FAQ-bot uses AI to find the best answer to the user's question in your FAQ. If it doesn't find anything that's good enough, it attempts a keyword search to show the user some relevant information. If that still comes up empty, it will tell the user that the question can not be answered based on what's available on the website. But even these kinds of questions are useful: they provide you with valuable insight into what your visitors are really looking for.

The FAQ-bot gives an incorrect answer, what can I do?

Although we strive to make the FAQ-bot as good as possible, it can make mistakes. In this case, the easiest solution is to define a 'custom dialog' on your dashboard. By setting a question-answer pair, you ensure that the FAQ-bot will answer correctly to the problematic question, even if it is phrased differently.
